The start of the second round of the 106th PGA Championship has been postponed by at least one hour and 20 minutes due to a tragic incident near Valhalla Golf Club.
According to a police report, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a shuttle bus while crossing Shelbyville Road early Friday morning near the golf course. The collision occurred in the eastbound center lane designated for buses. The victim, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities responded to the incident in the 15500 block of Shelbyville Road following a report of a collision between a bus and a pedestrian at around 5 a.m.
The PGA has announced that the second round will commence at 8:35 a.m. ET, with the initial tee-off scheduled for 7:15 a.m. ET.
